If you are building a drone for yourself this month, Hobby is enough. If you are iterating weekly — because FPV builds, client work, or a research cycle — Pro is the sweet spot. Pro+ makes sense if you depend on DRONA daily, want private parts, or need early access to new form factors. Teams is for engineering groups and university clubs. Enterprise is for utility fleets, agritech co-ops, public safety departments, and defense primes.
A build is one complete design session ending in an exported artifact — .vdx, STL, PDF, or firmware file. You can chat as much as you want inside a session without it counting. Experiments and discarded sessions don't count either. It's only a build when you export.
Pro, Pro+, and Teams are fully flat-rate. There are no per-export or per-chat-message charges. Enterprise plans are pooled, so high-volume usage rolls up to the org budget — contact sales for the shape of the agreement.
Each photo identification runs a multimodal inference plus a pgvector catalog match. Pro gives you enough throughput for daily use (dozens of images per day). Pro+ and Teams get 3× the ceiling for heavier mixed-used workflows. There is no per-image charge on any tier.
By default, your designs, chats, and uploaded images are yours. We do not train DRONA or the underlying models on your data. Enterprise customers get a stronger zero-retention commitment with the LLM providers in writing. Public designs are opt-in; private builds stay private.
Yes. Cancel in your account settings. You keep access through the end of the paid period. Your .vdx files remain yours forever — they are a human-readable TOML format that does not require DRONA to open.
Every design exports to .vdx, a portable TOML build spec. STL, BOM CSV, firmware .param and .cli files are open formats. Your designs are legible and usable without us. This is a design principle, not a marketing line.
Yes. Pro is free for verified .edu students and .org-nonprofit designers. Design-Build-Fly teams, MATE ROV competitors, and FAI F9A drone-soccer leagues get team seats free. Email students@drona.design.
Teams has a 14-day free trial. Enterprise has a 30-day org-wide trial with full onboarding from a solutions engineer. Both include the Blue UAS filter during trial so you can evaluate fit.
